August Hermann Francke (1870–1930) was a German Tibetologist. He was a Moravian Church missionary in Ladakh from 1896 until 1909, and subsequently became a professor of Tibetan languages at Berlin University. Francke also corrected the first draft of the Tibetan Bible prepared in 1910 by Yoseb Gergan. He was a Moravian colleague of Jäschke. Francke’s students included Walter Simon.
